Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO is seeking a Summer 2026 intern to perform Systems Engineering. In this role, you will become familiar with the CPS (Conventional Prompt Strike) Weapons System, develop system of systems engineering skills, and assist with managing numerous interdependencies supporting Navy and Army Hypersonic capabilities. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge in systems or other engineering disciplines and experience with Microsoft Office products. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications: • Coursework in systems, aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related discipline • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment • Proficient with Microsoft Office • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance Desired Skills: • Experience with space and ground systems • System Integration and Test experience Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: Part-Time as assigned by leader Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $58,552 - $77,788. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
