Applicants must at least have at least finished 11th grade by the end of June.
Current lifeguard qualification (this certification can be done at Camp after hiring).
Strong Swimmer - course prerequisites: Swim 300 yards continuously; Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs; Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds by starting in the water, swimming 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, exit the water without using steps or a ladder.
Experience of working with children.
Experience of teaching swimming.
DATES, HOURS AND PAY
9:00am to 3:30pm (this includes a 30 minute break per day)
June 29th to Aug 28th.
Mon to Fri each week except for July 3rd when we are closed.
Salary range is $2790-$3000+ for nine weeks of work.
Extra income can be made ($500 to $790 as a Bus Counselor or Extended Day staff.
Sharon, MA but with free bus transportation from all over MA.
Housing is NOT included.
Everwood Day Camp is an outdoor focused summer camp featuring many physically demanding activities on land and water. Staff members are regularly required to walk, hike and otherwise move in woods, fields, beaches, and lakes. In order to perform the job, each staff member of Everwood Day Camp must be physically able to travel around a large rural environment (fields, woods, beach, etc.) over uneven ground on a regular basis.
