Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) Supervisor/Intake Coordinator
$55,253 base starting salary increased based on education/experience.

Position Purpose: This position is a combination of supervisory and direct services duties. Under the direction of the Treatment Director, the LADC Supervisor/Intake Coordinator is responsible for the provision of SUD as outlined in 245G and also coordinates all program intakes and admissions. The LADC Supervisor is responsible to hire, train, and supervise LADC staff and interns. The LADC Supervisor works closely with the Mental Health Professional to ensure services are provided in compliance with 245G. The LADC Supervisor works cooperatively with all program staff and provides direct services (both in groups and individually) to clients with SUD, many who may also have mental illness.

In this position you will:

  1. Responsible for the selection, supervision, training and evaluation of LADC staff and student interns.
  2. Coordinate and facilitate all intakes and admissions for the specific 245G program supervised by the LADC Supervisor.
  3. Provide treatment and rehabilitative services to clients using models of treatment that include: Client Centered, Motivational Interventions, Harm Reduction, and Stages of Change.
  4. Conduct groups that include group counseling, skills training, peer support, daily living skills, health related issues, and psycho educational groups.
  5. Provide outreach, monitoring, transition services and assistance with needs as clinically indicated to client in their homes or in other community settings. This includes driving clients in your vehicle as needed.
  6. Conduct and or coordinate a comprehensive assessment of the clients chemical use and mental health problems.
  7. Complete an individual treatment plan with the client based on the assessment that complies with program regulations.
  8. Completes all required written documentation according to program policy/regulation.
  9. Participates in staff meetings, all required in-service training, and meetings with clinical supervisors.
  10. Follows all program, state regulatory, federal regulatory, program policies, and procedures.

. Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be licensed as a LADC from the state of Minnesota and must comply with rules adopted under Minnesota statutes, chapter 245G.
  • Must be free of chemical use problems for at least 2 years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
  • Must have 3 or more years serving clients with substance use issues
  • The individual knows and understands the requirements under 245G.
