Please note that if you are a Spring or Summer 2021 graduate, you will not be eligible for this Internship opportunity unless you are accepted for enrollment at a qualifying educational institution seeking an additional degree (diploma, Certificate, degree program, etc.) or an advanced degree. You must submit proof of acceptance along with your current transcripts for consideration.
NOAA is seeking bright, innovative, results-oriented students who are pursuing a degree or certificate program in an accredited educational institution for our Intern Program. The NOAA Pathways Internship Program targets students accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled in a degree-seeking or Certificate program at least on a half-time basis.(Applicants who do not meet the definition of student by the closing date of the announcementwill not be considered).

Qualification requirements in the vacancy announcements are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook, which contains federal qualification standards. To qualify at the ZP-2 or GS-07 level:
Completion of one full year of graduate-level education.
Superior Academic Achievement as demonstrated by a related bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with one of the following. NOTE: It is your responsibility to ensure your application clearly states how you meet one of the provisions below: A grade point average (GPA) of 2.9 or higher based on a 4.0 scale for all completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last 2 full years of undergraduate study. OR
Previous related education and/or experience.
Special Provisions/or Interns with Previous Related Education or Experience.Previous education and/or experience may be evaluated to determine the highest grade level for which the individual is qualified.
