Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must possess a current and valid basic first aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer w/AED certifications. Must possess current and valid lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor certification covering lifesaving and water rescue methods, skills and procedures. CPR certifications must include adult, child and infant procedures. All certifications must remain current during the period of employment. Must have experience which provides a practical knowledge of swimming activities, rules and procedures and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool safety equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing to instruct other Lifeguards. Must have current immunizations. Must be 18 years of age or older.
